Dan is seated at a long work bench, her body oriented to the right of the frame. She is smiling, and looking down at two glass dishes on the table in front of her, into which she is dropping a liquid from an eyedropper with a rubber bulb. In the background, there is an unidentified man working at another table, and large piece of metal equipment on a table (possibly a very large microscope).
Young is seated at a desk with a pen in his right hand, which is poised over a piece of paper. He is looking at the camera, his body angled very slightly to the right of the frame.
