MBL History Projects Opens its Doors for the 2015 Season

The MBL History Project enters its third year.

On Thursday, May 14th, the MBL History Project researchers opened up their summer laboratory in MBL’s Lillie building, room 228, for the start of the project’s third year. The team will be in residence until July 17th.

During MBL’s 125th anniversary this summer, the MBL Community Archives Project asks you to contribute your photographs, memories, stories, letters, and research or course notebooks to our community generated archive.

The MBL History Project Closes Out a Fourth Season


On Friday, July 22, 2016, the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) History Project closed its doors on its fourth season.

An exciting opening to the MBL Community Archives Project took place on Friday, May 25th in the Grass Reading Room, and down the hall in the new archives intake studio Lillie Rm 228 in the MBLWHOI Library.

This summer the MBL Community Archives Project is holding three Open House Fridays, on July 12th, 26th, and August 2nd. These events will be held in the Grass Reading Room of the MBLWHOI Library at 12 noon, and the community is invited to attend.
