July 12th at noon: Community Archives talk on MBL - China connections in the early 20th Century

This summer the MBL Community Archives Project is holding three Open House Fridays, on July 12th, 26th, and August 2nd. These events will be held in the Grass Reading Room of the MBLWHOI Library at 12 noon, and the community is invited to attend. 

On July 12th, Arizona State University History of Science doctoral students Kate MacCord and Lijing Jiang will speak about research they have conducted in China and at the Marine Biological Laboratory on connections between the MBL and instituions in China in the early 20th Century. Refreshments will be served.

The MBL Community Archives Project will also be introduced to those attending, and all are encouraged to bring photos and other memorabilia they are interested in having digitized into the MBL Community Archives. There will also be the opportunity to have reminiscences recorded on this or another date.  The intake studio of the Community Archives is located in Lillie Rm 228, open M-F 10:00AM-4:00PM; Fridays from 6:30pm-7:30pm; and by appointment until August 23rd.
